The UK Asian Community Cup is an annual football festival organised by London Tigers in partnership with professional football clubs. The preliminary rounds will take place at London Tigers Sports Complex. Promoting Hidden Talents The Festival first began in 2003 when Chelsea FC and London Tigers became the first organisations in London to work together to promote Asian grassroot talents to other professional clubs as well as the public and media. The festival been held every year since then, with the finals always being played at a professional stadium. These have included Chelsea FC, West Ham United, QPR and Redbridge & Dagenham FC. Pathway For Asian Talents This festival creates a pathway for Asians towards mainstream football and provides a platform for amateur Asian teams to display local talented players to others. Tackling Racism The festival has the strong agenda of kicking racism out of football by showing that Asians can play football provided that they are given the opportunity and access to quality resources. Although the tournament is targeted for Asian community, we allow up to 4 non-Asians on the field of play also promoting other ethnic minority communities.
