Spikesbridge Park Sports Complex

London Tigers Sports Complex was opened in the Summer of 2013. It is located in Spikesbridge Park, an area of multiple deprivation in Southall. Our vision is to develop a Centre of Sporting Excellence as well as a Community Hub that meets the wider needs of residents of the London Borough of Ealing.

Since opening the Sports Complex has transformed a once crime ridden public park into a thriving community hub filled with activities for children and adults. It has won an award for Outstanding London Sports Venue and we are developing joint plans with Ealing Council to help acquire the prestigious Green Flag award for Spikesbridge Park.

Facilities available for hire include a full 11-aside artificial (3G) football pitch that can also be used for small sided football as well as a range of multisports. We have excellent grass football facilities including 2 full size grass pitches and 5 junior football pitches for a variety of age groups. Cricket is well catered for with a 10-wicket cricket square that is able to provide a high-class cricket facility including the use of a pavilion. We also have an Indoor hall that doubles as a dance studio, a well equipped kitchen and a pavilion with changing rooms and dedicated car parking.

Since opening we have established:

  • Both Football and Cricket Development Centres (with junior and senior teams playing competitive football and cricket).
  • A thriving outcome focused youth clubs that works closely withlocal community groups and statutory partners in addressing wider needs of local young people.
  • A Women’s Fitness Programme that is addressing wider needs about healthy lifestyles and health inequalities.

Since inception, we have had over 3,000 individuals from across Ealing become active members of London Tigers through our Sports Complex and benefitting from a wide range of session we provide on site. We aspire to keep sporting legacy alive and in the borough of Ealing and will continue to inspire a new generation of local people to start playing sports.

We are further developing our partnerships including with Southall Community Alliance and other community groups, Ealing Council, local schools and colleges and other statutory services to enhance the community offer. This will include courses, information evenings and social events. This is a key part of our service delivery plan such that we strengthen community cohesion, using the Sports Complex as a tool for asset building community resilience.
